What This Extension Does
This extension helps you quickly verify and clean up addresses inside Zoho CRM using reliable data from Geoapify. Instead of manually checking if an address is correct, the system does the work for you in just a few clicks.
How It Works
- Enter or review your address — add an address to a Lead record as you normally would
- Click "Validate Address" button — the system checks the address and finds the closest verified match
- Review the verified version — a clean, standardized version of the address is saved for you to review
- Click "Copy Address" button — copy the verified address into your main address fields instantly

Step 1: Install the Extension
Use the installation link provided by your Aspen94 consultant, or locate Aspen94 – Address Validation in the Zoho Marketplace.
Step 2: Obtain Your Geoapify API Key
- Go to geoapify.com and create a free account
- Navigate to your Projects dashboard and create a new project
- Copy the API Key generated for your project
🔒 Security: Your API key is sensitive. Do not share it publicly. The extension stores it securely as an org-level variable within Zoho CRM.
Step 3: Open the Extension Setup Page
- In Zoho CRM, click the Marketplace icon in the top navigation bar
- Click on the Installed tab
- Find Aspen94 – Address Validation and click Settings
- The Setup page will open with an API Key field
Step 4: Enter and Save Your API Key
When you click Save Settings, the following happens:
- The extension validates your API key against the Geoapify service
- If valid, the key is saved as a secure organization variable
- A confirmation message appears
- You are automatically redirected to CRM Home
Step 5: Validation in Action
| Scenario | Result |
|---|
| API key field is empty | Warning prompts you to enter your key |
| API key is invalid or rejected | Error message asks you to verify the key |
| API key is valid | Key saved, redirected to CRM Home |
| Unexpected error during save | Error message appears — try again |
Important Notes
- Only one API key can be stored at a time
- If your key expires, repeat Step 4 to update it
- The extension supports Light Mode and Dark Mode automatically
- The setup page loads your existing key when reopened
Best Practices
- Use a dedicated Geoapify project for your CRM integration
- Regenerate your API key immediately if compromised
- Periodically review your Geoapify dashboard to monitor usage
