What This Extension Does
The Deal Autonaming extension automatically generates consistent, dynamic Deal Names based on the fields you choose. Select up to three fields, arrange the order, and the extension handles naming on every Deal creation and edit.
This guide will help you:
- Create dynamic Deal Names based on selected fields
- Maintain consistent naming across all Deals
- Eliminate manual naming errors
⚠ No coding experience needed — just follow the steps.
Step 1: Install the Extension
Use the installation link provided by your Aspen94 consultant, or locate Aspen94 – Autonaming for Deals in the Zoho Marketplace.
Step 2: Open Autonaming Settings
- In Zoho CRM, click the Marketplace icon in the top navigation bar
- Click on the Installed tab
- Find Aspen94 – Autonaming for Deals and click Settings
You will see three sections:
- Preview — shows how the Deal Name will look
- Selected Fields — fields currently in use
- Available Fields — fields you can add
Select Fields
- From Available Fields, click on the fields you want to use
- Selected fields will appear in the Selected Fields section
- You can select up to 3 fields
Arrange Order
- Drag and drop fields to change the order
- The order defines how the Deal Name will be built
Preview
- The preview updates automatically
- Shows how the Deal Name will look
Step 4: Save Configuration
- Click Save Settings
- A confirmation message will appear
- You will be redirected back to CRM Home
Step 5: Automation in Action
Once configured, the Deal Name is automatically generated on Deal creation and Deal edit.

Currency Handling
The extension automatically formats numbers and supports multi-currency environments.

Additional Features
- Search Fields — Use the search bar to quickly find standard and custom fields
- Light / Dark Mode — Toggle between modes; your preference is saved automatically
Important Notes
- Maximum of 3 fields can be selected
- Empty values will appear as "N/A"
- Works only on the Deals module (Standard layout)
- Existing records will update when edited
Best Practices
- Keep naming simple and readable
- Use commonly filled fields (e.g., Contact, Amount)
- Avoid fields that are frequently empty
